What is hard to hit are high level cruiser / BB players who know how to use their throttle to advantage. It's just as easy to hit turning targets as straight lines, as long as you have a general idea they have rudder lock and where they are heading. Turning targets are easy to hit as well, because they're always around half speed in knots. If the thing isn't in existence or in active use, why bother to deny it so energetically? Reminds me of another set of popular deniers. The strenuous denials here kinda gives a good hint of a "government cover-up", if nothing else. And I don't always drive in a straight line. For someone perennially at the end of shells traveling as though they were wire-guided missiles, it sure like hell feels like those things are pretty much in use.
